Germaine and baby can now get a good nights rest with their new maternity pillow. However it seems my sleep area has diminished to about the width of my body. I guess I'll live. So long as they are comfortable.
Let the sacrifices begin.

Well it seems Disney has gotten wind of Platty's pending arrival. I kinda think they are going a little overboard. But hey it's their money.

Platty's video shoot 12-4-08

Lil Putz sonogram #2 from Eric Putz on Vimeo.Here is our 2nd sonogram video. Germaine is 20 weeks now and all reports are good. In this sonogram we were finally able to see an actual image of what Platty looks like. It's absolutely amazing. We can already tell that Platty seems to have Germaine's nose, but I'm sorry to report we still don't know the sex of the baby. A choice Germaine and I have made so that we can be surprised. Just like our parents had done with us. However I believe this video may hold the key to that very discovery. See if you can guess. The password is the same as the previous video.

You'll also notice there is some color in this video. The red and blue is showing the opposing blood flow in and out of Platty's little heart. And as I stated in my last post, there are now actual images of Platty to be seen. Specifically at the end of the video. Images where you can actually tell there's a little person in there.

It's like being able to see into a different world. Germaine is constantly feeling the baby move. Whereas these sonogram views are really what gets our hearts pumping (just like Platty's). It may be just a little more exciting for me since my interaction with Platty thus far has been relegated to touching Germaine's belly and talking to the lil guy. It's hard for me to put it into words (Germaine is much more eloquent than I am). But with all that's been going on in our lives, with our house, our dog (Ms. Dos), veterinary and doctors visits, and of course our growing mother-to-be. Seeing this makes both Germaine and I start feeling like parents. Just being able to actually see what Platty looks like overwhelms us with happiness. I specifically enjoy watching Germaine's reaction to the images. It's sort of like setting a kid free in a toy store and telling them they can have whatever they want. That's a great feeling. And it's one I know I will look forward to every time we get that little glimpse into Platty's world.

Baby's 1st glamour shot

Germaine had her 2nd big ultrasound today. Which means we have some new photos and a new video to post. While the video is encoding, I thought I would post an image for you as a teaser to the actual video.
